The Scientific Writer / Technical Academic Writer - Computer Science (Freelance) will collaborate with Innovative Research Bureau (IRB) on a per-project basis to draft, refine, and meticulously revise high-quality scientific content for academic publication in computer science and closely related interdisciplinary domains, ensuring originality, technical depth, and adherence to high-quality journals. This role also includes conducting necessary computational experiments and simulations. Freelancers are expected to be highly self-motivated and capable of independently managing each project, from initial research to final draft.
We encourage applications from candidates with a strong command of flawless English writing and proven expertise in scientific/technical academic research and writing. Candidates with an advanced academic background, as well as those experienced in analyzing and integrating research results into high-quality publications, will be highly valued.
Responsibilities:
- Select and work on topics in computer science, and closely related fields.
- Independently draft, edit, and polish scientific content to meet academic publication standards.
- Ensure content is non-plagiarized and not generated by AI tools, maintaining compliance with standards such as Turnitin and iThenticate; adherence to standard referencing is required.
- Manage deadlines and coordinate with IRB teams to incorporate feedback and revisions in line with journal requirements.
- Ensure high-quality, publication-ready content for SCI/SCIE-indexed journals.

Qualifications:
- A Ph.D. in computer science, IT, or closely related fields is required (Candidates currently Pursuing a Ph.D. are also Eligible to Apply). Candidates with substantial experience in high-quality academic writing are encouraged to apply.
Experience Required:
- Experience in scientific/technical academic writing, evidenced by high-quality academic publications in computer science or closely relevant fields, obtained either through an academic program (e.g., Ph.D.) or through independent work.
Required Skills:
- Research and Writing: Strong research abilities and experience in producing non-plagiarized, high-quality academic content, as well as familiarity with citation and reference formatting standards and principles of academic integrity.
- Language Proficiency: Excellent command of written English, with a focus on grammar, syntax, and academic style.
- Technical Expertise: Ability to apply specialized knowledge relevant to project requirements, demonstrating analytical skills to evaluate and interpret data-driven results accurately.
- Computational Skills: Proficiency in any of the programming languages or tools, such as Python, MATLAB, or other relevant tools for data analysis, simulation, and modeling.
- Software Proficiency: Proficiency in using relevant software tools for content creation and collaboration (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).
- Problem-Solving & Curiosity: Strong problem-solving abilities and enthusiasm for learning and exploring new topics across multiple subject domains.
- Work and Time Management: Demonstrated capacity to work independently and manage time effectively.
